True Blood`s Fire in the Hole Recap

True Blood`s episode 3 of the last season was a pretty talky episode again, with almost all of the characters appearing. We say goodbye to yet another character tonight, and Eric comes out of his stupor.
Attention! Spoilers ahead!
“You are here in the now,” a yoga teacher says. He praises a woman who replies: “Namaste,” rather ecstatically, we see it’s Sarah Newlin, her hair dyed auburn.
Pam confronts Eric, mad at him for constantly moving, then tells him about Tara, and that she felt it the night before.  He doesn’t want to fight anymore, which pisses her off. It’s about Godric, Nora, and yes, Sylvie. Sylvie? Flashback to Eric, speaking French, to brunette Sylvie in a French arbor in 1896.  They have pastoral sex until someone says “Bravo, Mr. Northman.” It’s a representative of the Authority, who scolds him and Pam for not registering and for being vampires where everyone can see him. She tells him about the soon-to-be-released Tru Blood, and how the Japanese corporation particularly doesn’t like this kind of activity. Eric answers rudely, and Miss Flanagan leaves.
Alcide in Bon Temps present realizes Sookie has gone and goes rushing to Bill’s. He runs out again as a wolf (am I alone in finding that silly?). Driving around with Sookie, Bill tells her that when he fed all the vampires at the camp, his blood was drained, so no, he can’t feel her anymore. Her plan is to hang out in the woods, being vampire bait.
Reverend Daniels counsels Sam in church when Willa speeds in with a freaking out Lettie Mae close behind. They calm Lettie Mae down and drive away, but are stopped by the mob, with Maxine Hotyenberry in front. Vince hauls off and shoots Matt, who explodes. Sam turns into an owl and flies away. Back at his house, Rev. Daniels offers Willa a snack from his arm, and he tells her how by saving Lettie Mae he regained his faith—but Lettie Mae is an addict so Willa has to go. He explains that to Lettie Mae, Willa looks like a bottle of Captain Morgan. He thanks her and rescinds her invitation to the house, and she goes flying out.
Echoing Andy, Jason tells Violet “a man ain’t nothing without family.” Violet finds that effeminate. Andy, who has freed Jessica and Adilyn from a stay in jail (where Adilyn cheered Wade up by letting him know they once made out), knocks on the door. Violet’s not thrilled, but agrees to have a truce with Jessica and let the kids hang out there for awhile. Andy, Jason and Jessica encounter the mob. Maxine Fortenberry wants to kill Jessica and Jason because of what she did to Hoyt (namely, breaking up with him). Violet rips her heart out, but Jessica is hurt and doesn’t know why she’s not healing. Has she got the virus?
Speaking of Jessica, James is pining for her, and goes to Lafayette for more of the good weed. Lafayette doesn’t have any, he offers to make a pill Jason remembers from back in his youth. Jason can’t swallow, but Lafayette can, and then it will be in his bloodstream. Clever! As they get high, listening to music, saying “here come the horns,” James says “ef the past.” “Now is all that matters”—as the yogi said at the top of the show. There’s some grooving on one another going on, but James says he’s with Jessica.
And speaking of feeding (yes, the show is pretty schematic tonight), we’re back to Fangtasia where the H vampires bicker about the food and the hunt.
As Bill and Sookie wait for vampires to take the bait, there’s more talk, Sookie says she loves Alcide, and Bill remembers having photographs made by Julius Fortenberry in 1862 of his family before he went to war. The man took two photographs (too bad the close up of the family one is not sepia and is clearly a contemporary black and white photo). Tired of waiting, Sookie stabs her own arm. The Fangtasia vampires, led by Holly, take the bait. A Mighty fight and shoot-out with Bill, Alcide, Sam and H vampires.
The Japanese corporation that makes True Blood surrounds Eric and Sylvie, and give him a Sophie’s Choice between Pam and Sylvie. He asks them to kill him, but they say the authority wants him alive. He chooses Pam and they stab Sylvie. Flashback over, Pam begs Eric not to give up. But he releases her even as she cries bloody tears. Wondering when we’ll see Sarah again? So is Pam. That’s her trump card when she tells Eric that Jason let her live. Eric stands. “Let’s go find her, shall we?” he says.
Ane we see the reason for the ecstasy behind Sarah’s “Namaste,” as we cut to her, called “Numi,” having tantric sex with the yogi. Sexposition about how she got there, and then the Japanese corporation guys show up with her picture. He admits knowing her, but not where she is, so they kill him.
Alcide yells at Bill for participating in Sookie’s plan, while Violet washes the blood off of Sookie in the river. But someone is still shooting, and Alcide is hit.
